A community becomes stronger when people are not left to solve every challenge on their own.
Education, employment skills, women’s participation, children’s rights and access to opportunities are closely connected. When one area improves, it can influence several others. A child who stays in school has a better chance of continuing their education. A young person who develops practical skills can move towards employment. A woman who gains knowledge and economic independence can strengthen her household.
This is the thinking behind CHORD’s community-focused work.
